The Regulatory Monitoring Database is the long term platform through which NIA Members can stay up to date with regulations important to their current and future nanomaterials development and application.

The database tracks over 40 regulations relevant to nanotechnology from across the globe, with updates and notifications to Members, consultations and ongoing support through NIA's regulatory services.

How does it work?

Each regulation gives detail on its origin (e.g. EU or US), the level of legislatory impact, dates of adoption and implementation, nanomaterials definition used,  key players (e.g. ECHA), the type of legislation (e.g. guidance) plus a summary and supporting documents.  Where updates and consultations are active, these can be accessed through the Members area of the website and NIA will update Members at each key deadline associated with adoption and implementation.
