US EPA enacts SNUR for MWCNT-containing Dispersing Agent
The US EPA has issued a significant new use ruling for a polymer of terephthalic acid and ethyl benzene with multi-walled carbon nanotube (generic). The polymer has also been made subject to a US TSCA section 5(e) consent order as the Agency believes it to ‘present an unreasonable risk of injury to human health and the environment’

Updated ECHA CoRAP Testing List contains 3 new Nanomaterials
ECHA has published a draft of its annual update of the Community Rolling Action Plan (CoRAP). The plan, covering the 2015-2017 period, contains 65 newly selected substances alongside 69 that were included in the previous plan; four of the substances in the list are either nanomaterials or are commonly applied as nanomaterials

Proposed US EPA Nano-specific Rulings for TSCA re-emerge
In 2009 the US EPA initiated work on nano-specific rules under the Toxic Substances Control Act; two notices of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) were later submitted to the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB). After four years, the original 2010 NPRMs have been withdrawn by the EPA, and a new NPRM was proposed to the OMB in October 2014
