ISO publishes two new Standards for Nanomaterials
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has released documentation for both the characterisation and measurement of nanoscale titanium dioxide and nanoform calcium carbonate. These standards detail ‘the basic characteristics…in powder form relevant for applications in nanotechnology’

REACH Test Method is more Work for Nanoscale Materials than for Conventional ones, German BAuA finds
The German BAuA has published a report which concludes that the effort required to work with one of the test methods under the EC's REACH regulation may well be higher for nanoscale materials than for ordinary ones. The report states that some of the testing methods are inappropriate for nanomaterials and thus suggests more applicable ones

ASTM announces new Nanotechnology Standard for Nano-scale Biological Materials
ASTM has revealed a new nanotechnology standard that focuses on the zeta potential of biological materials. The standard, entitled E2865, Guide for Measurement of Electrophoretic Mobility and Zeta Potential of Nanosized Biological Materials, was developed by part of ASTM International Committee E56 on Nanotechnology
