ECHA publishes 2013 REACH Evaluation Report; highlights Work done on Nanotechnologies
ECHA has published a report evaluating the work it had done in 2013 under REACH. In a press release, it states that ‘the focus of dossier evaluation activities was on compliance checks’ and that ‘928 were concluded during the year’ – three of these checks were carried out on registered nanomaterials

The EC SCCS has received a request from the EC to investigate the use of certain nano silica materials in cosmetics. The SCCS has in turn asked stakeholders to provide them with relevant information. NIA intends to respond to this call for informaton on behalf of its Members
US EPA issues SNURs for five Nanomaterials; MWCNTs and infused Carbon Nanostructures targeted
US EPA has promulgated direct final SNURs for 35 substances, 5 of which are nanomaterials. These can be split into two groups: MWCNTs and infused carbon nanostructures (generic).
