NIA in Parliament

Today’s Hansard features a reference to the Nanotechnology Industries Association (NIA) by the UK Secretary of State (Science and Innovation), Malcolm Wicks. The reference was made as part of the Secretary’s answer to a question from Iain Wright (Hartlepool, Labour) as to what assessment [the Secretary] has made of the (a) present and (b) future importance to the (i) UK and (ii) North East economy of nanotechnology; and what steps his Department is taking to support this industry.

The Secretary’s answer refers to the '‘pump priming’ funding that includes…support for the Nanotechnology Industry Association - an independent organisation that promotes the responsible use of nanotechnology and raises awareness of its many applications among key audiences’.
