The ENDS Report has covered NIA’s stance on the proposed EU nano registration program in an article entitled, EU nano register ‘will damage competitiveness'. NIA’s response to the European Commission’s (EC) Consultation on Nano Transparency Measures was published earlier this month.
The report covers this response to the consultation, stating that the Association feels ‘a register of the nanomaterials used in the EU will unfairly stigmatise them, increase company costs and confuse consumers’.
Also featured in the article is a response by the European Environmental Bureau, which was said to be more broadly supportive of such a measure.
