US EPA withdraws SNUR for Carbon Nanotube

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has withdrawn a direct final significant new use ruling (SNUR) for functionalized carbon nanotubes (generic). A notification about the SNUR coming into effect was published in late October 2014.

The EPA is withdrawing this ruling as it received "received a notice of intent to submit adverse comments"; as such, EPA is required to withdraw the ruling.

It intends to publish a proposed SNUR for the material at a later date.
