Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety may adopt Zinc Oxide Opinion in June

In a report from their 23rd meeting, the Nanomaterials in Cosmetic Products Working Group (WG) highlighted that it will present its draft opinion on zinc oxide at its next plenary, and that this opinion may be adopted. The panel, convened as part of the European Commission's Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety (SCCS) initiative, also noted that, as part of the item S79, Submission II: Dossier Evaluation, the submitted dossier was discussed.

It was noted that 'no updated draft was presented' for titanium dioxide, and that 'work is ongoing' in this area.

A date has not yet been set for the meeting of the group.
