OECD Publishes Evaluation of Nanomaterial Testing Methods

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) has released an 'Evaluation of Methods applied in the OECD-WPMN Testing Programme', the 65th publication in their 'Safety of Manufactured Nanomaterials' publication series. The evaluation focuses specifically on endpoints and methods for testing nanomaterial's physico-chemical properties.

Parameters assessed include "chemical composition, aggregation/agglomeration, particle size distribution, crystalline phase, dustiness, specific surface area, water solubility/dispersibility, zeta potential,
photocatalytic activity, porosity, redox potential, radical formation potential, crystallite size, and surface chemistry."
