Italian Ministry of Health conducting voluntary ''Census'' of Cosmetics containing Nanomaterials

The Italian Ministry of Health has announced that it will be carrying out a nationwide survey of cosmetic products containing nanomaterials. Participation in the survey is voluntary, and no information provided will be disclosed or published publicly.

According to a press release by the Ministry the census has been designed with recent guidelines from the European Commission in mind, and data gathered will be communicated in confidence directly to the Commission and used only by the Competent Authority.

The survey begins from 10 August 2012, and materials for it can be found on the Ministry's site.
