Ethical issues at the Nanotechnology Workplace

In a joint paper, entitled Ethical and Scientific Issues of Nanotechnology in the Workplace, the US National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and the University of Toronto Joint Centre for Bioethics identify the ethical issues involved in the question of potential health effects of occupational exposure to nanoparticles. The ethical issues involve the unbiased determination of hazards and risks, autonomy, justice, privacy, and promoting respect for persons.
