The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) has revealed a new nanotechnology standard that focuses on the zeta potential of biological materials. The standard, entitled E2865, Guide for Measurement of Electrophoretic Mobility and Zeta Potential of Nanosized Biological Materials, was developed by part of ASTM International Committee E56 on Nanotechnology.
Parties interested in the standard are set to 'include protein formulation personnel in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly those concerned with protein therapies and shelf-life stability of preparations'.
ASTM E2865 is now available for purchase from the society.
