The Nano Regions Alliance (NANORA) has invited NIA Members, as well as those otherwise engaged in nanotechnologies, to join it on an exploratory business trip to Poland. The trip will last four days, and the convoy of nano entrepreneurs will visit Warsaw, Poznan and Katowice.
Calling Poland ‘an economically strong and research intensive country offering significant potential for nanotech solutions’, NANORA presents a programme that includes b2b talks as well as visits to Polish companies and research institutes. Attendees will also get the chance to network with convoy participants from other European countries.
The only restriction on taking part is that attendees must be from the NANORA regions. These are:
- Belgium – Wallonie
- France – Nord-Pas-de-Calais
- Germany – Hessen + Saarland
- Southern Netherlands
- UK – North West England
NIA became an Associate Member of the NANORA initiative in July 2014. While Associate Members are not part of the formal NANORA project structure, they ‘cooperate with NANORA in reaching the common goals of supporting nanotechnology SMEs and research institutions in Europe’.
